carbon cycles

such a lovely day... after a delicious breakfast and some time mixing soil and planting herbs with my parents, i headed out of town for some adventure. to a place that holds a very special spot in my heart.

having purposely left bit early i stopped for a stroll in a favorite place. listing to the constant flowing of water and taking some time to wander a bit. then an antique auction in a little northern michigan town (like competitive resale shopping) for laughter and fun with a dear friend. followed by a short backcountry bike ride with another, equally wonderful friend. dipping my feet into my dear douglas lake.

topping it all off with a beautiful dinner alongside some stellar family friends. amazing conversations late into the evening... losing track of time.
