Dinner not quite as planned

My Mom made an early birthday dinner for me - all food that I had requested. And the best part, of course, was to be the cupcakes.

Although he felt fine yesterday, Bob was very fussy all day. We just thought he had returned to the 2 year old angst he has every now and then. But it wasn't that. The GI bug returned between the 1st and 2nd course of dinner at Grandma's house. Bob had a bath, clothes and towels went in to the washer, then we took Bob and the rest of our dinner home. Bob fell asleep in the car and I hope his rest will chase this stupid GI bug far, far away.

Dinner was wonderful. But it felt so weird to eat it at home without Bob.
