Ayers Natural Bridge, Converse Co., WY

This arch over the Laprele Creek was occasionally used by native american indians. First mention was noted by a Mathew Field in 1843. He described the natural bridge as a solid rock over a rapid torrent(Laprele river). Geologically, the hole in the rock was carved out by rapid flowing water that eventually cracked through the strata and was made wider by the ever flowing water.
You have to travel 5 miles off the interstate to reach the park. Once there, you can enjoy beautiful species of birds, shear rock walls of natural earth colors. Camping and a picnic area is provided with ample parking.
This was the real gem of our short weekend getaway.
