The Big Pit!

OK, so the weather today left something to be desired. Drizzly and windy but somehow very appropriate for our exploration of the valleys. After a quick breakfast at the golden arches we headed up to Blaenavon and the Big Pit. We did the underground tour, which was amazing before spending a good while exploring the galleries. All really interesting and highly recommended.
After this we headed out for a drive but did not get very far before finding the iron foundry across the road from this pit.
Diner was a dodgy curry in a local pub before heading back for a glass of wine at the hotel.
