Today's song is by Cristina. Not Aguilera in case that's discouraging you from clicking the link, but Cristina Monet-Palaci. She was the wife of Michael Zilkha who was heir to the Mothercare chain and the owner of NEw York's ZE racords on which she released her songs.

This particular one is a song originally performed by Peggy Lee and this version was withdrawn for many years as apparently the oricinag composers Lieber and Stoller were never informed that the lyrics had been changed to put them more in tune with early 80's New York. Undeniably a fantastic song nonetheless.
