Books Stored

Not so long ago, this picture would have been a more romantic affair - a dog eared copy of 'The Catcher in the Rye' perhaps half-buried in the sand of the beach, or held open on my favourite page.
Alas however, the future is now, and all my books are loaded onto an Amazon Kindle. After toilet paper and a phrase book, a kindle is probably the greatest companion a traveller could ask for.


I just read 'The Catcher in the Rye' for the first time, and at breakneck speed - I simply couldn't put it down. It's one of those famous books I've just never got around to reading, maybe through a belief they're sometimes overhyped.
I'm eating my words now though, and am really wishing I'd read it as a teenager. I think it would have had a profound effect on me.
