Rescue....

of a beach ball that had been blown into the River Tyne this morning.
Our family all had a trip down to the quayside this morning to watch people gathering for the Evolution Music Festival, which is taking place over two days.
We went to one of the hotels for coffee, and to see if any of the stars like Tinie Tempah were around, but the young ones were disappointed.
A look around the market stalls also added some interest.
We older ones were amused by the fashions, especially the shorts worn with tights that had patterns of suspenders on them, and wellies, which lots of young girls were wearing.
These two men were patrolling up and down the river keeping an eye out for any accidents. When a beach ball blew in, they were off to catch it. Well, they had to be seen to be working!
