One of a kind

Last night the gay community in Melbourne farewelled The Market Hotel as the venue changed ownership. Around a 1000 people packed the venue and danced from 9pm and danced til past midday at the final party. For 11 years The Market was a second home to many. It was a place people could dance without fear and dance they did. It was a beacon for House music with killer sound and lighting systems.

So sad that its closed but so glad for the memories.
