Copper Iris

My wife loves iris, and has many, many of them around the yard. And, I love taking pictures of them. They always make for a good blip. This one is a copper iris, and is one of the more uncommon ones. They are just starting to bloom. In a couple of weeks, our yard will be a blaze of color. We have them all along our back fence, and it makes for a really beautiful backdrop for portraits.
