Contra nando incrementum

This is the coat of arms for Peebles as shown within the Tweeddale Museum and Gallery building where I spend my very last morning of the exhibition today. It's now over and done with and life will return to normal. Translated from the Latin this text means: Against the flow we prosper, or more extensively : Get increased by swimming against the tide. This has been how the past few months have feltlike at times but now I really feel that I have reached my destination despite the stream sometimes being against me.
The 3 fishes are a symbol that can be seen in various places in Peebles.
