In Flight

A day of travel today. I left Christchurch at 3.30pm, arriving in Sydney pretty much on time a bit before 5pm their time. Sadly however the onwards flight to Singapore was delayed, by 5 hours. So, a bit of wandering around the terminal, food, some reading, and finally some photo sorting saw the time whiled away.

At 11pm they loaded us on the plane, telling us we may not be going. After 45 minutes they were still working on it. "This is your captain speaking, the engineers might have it sorted, but now we need a special dispensation to depart after the 11pm curfew." Finally we did depart just before midnight.

6.5 hours later we landed thankfully at Singapore, the repair obviously worked, at 3.30 am in the morning. It was 26 degrees and deserted, not too many flights that time of day. Grabbed a taxi for the 30 min trip into the city and at 5.30am I rolled into bed.
