Aircraft Carrier The USS GEORGE W BUSH

Not a sight we see very often in the Solent.

As 6000 US Sailors our granted liberty, the restaurants and shops of Portsmouth are bracing themselves for a very busy weekend.
As you can see one of the Gosport ferries has been tasked to carry out the duty of liberty boat (Boat transfers) to get the crew ashore for what I am sure is a well deserved rest.

Reason for This impressive Vessel being at Anchor just of Stokes Bay is it won't fit through the mouth of the harbour

Powered by 2 x Nuclear reactors quite an impressive sight.
