Party time!!!
and what a fabulous one it was.
Got up with a banging headache and ended up being a bit pukey but went off really quickly so thought nothing of it. Head lingered a bit bit excitement and fizz helped.
The party was so so much fun. Lots of new people from nursery etc. but everyone came as families. Lots of food and booze for the adults, lots of food and playtime for all the children and a really relaxed garden BBQ atmosphere.
Mum brought the sausage machine from the agricultural society so people could make their own sausages to go on the BBQ. I made pizza dough and sauce to make little pizza frittas for the kids and veggies.
On the menu were a goats cheese and spinach tart that I got none of, primaverde pasta salad, mothership tomato salad with mozzarella, homemade dips, said sausages, homemade burgers, cornchon and mustard potato salad, garlic bread, marmalade pudding, chocolate lime cake (which I carefully covered with a tea towel at 1am when I finished baking it to come down and find a cat had walked over said tea towel and it had deep paw prints all over it!), rather boozy banana loaf, fairy cakes and red velvet cupcakes for Boos birthday pile.
Lots od beer and fizz eased ALL of it down. Very little by way of leftovers and I was sure I had over catered.
Proudest moment was when 8 year old Will gave me a hug and said I should go on Masterchef.
Boo got a massive haul of pressies from our super generous friends including posted ones from Catherine and her boys and Sara and her twinkles.
