Nodding off ...

This young Starling was nodding off in a tree after eating lots of mealworms. It is actually quite warm outside when the sun is out and most of the birds were sunbathing or preening in the apple trees. This one caught my eye as he (or she) kept opening and closing its eyes and its head would go back and forward as it drifted off to sleep. Unfortunately a rather loud 'kraah!' from a Rook in the next garden scared it into wakefulness, it saw me and then flew off to another branch.
