Our 'seven-year itch'...

... is eight now!

I found out I was pregnant with our first child on our seventh wedding anniversary. To say it was a surprise is an understatement (!) but it was an overwhelmingly joyful one. We soon discovered that many people thought that we'd taken so long because we'd either been having 'problems' in that department or just hated kids. Neither was true - I think the years just flew by without us realising and, of course, if you wait until the time is right it's never going to be, is it? I like to think that our daughter was always meant to be here but in the end just got fed up of waiting for us to make the decision and took the matter into her own hands, so to speak - and we're so glad she did!

So, to the little girl I love most in the world (apologies to all other little girls!), I hope you've had a very Happy Birthday!
