The Lilac

is finally blooming! We had a lilac tree in our backyard in Germany growing up and I remember that people (kids) would cut them off on mother days for their moms. We did not like that. This year it was not anywhere close to bloom on mother-day, but I enjoy it now - the look and the smell.
