Another Day

Down Memory Lane

Taking it quietly at home today as advised.
Looking through some of the old images in my computer, I found some on the Namibia trip I took in August 2005.
I recalled I had some lovely stones put away in a box, which I had picked up in the Soussuvlei Desert. This was alongside of Dune 45, well known to all who have been there, as they all like to climb the ridge. I decided not to, and headed away to some other wonderful colored pink dunes that I could see. I liked the shapes and the colors, and could not believe how the pinks did not get mixed up - there were quite distinct lines.
Anyway crossing over to get there was this dry river bed, and all these wonderful stones with beautiful marking on them. I swear that they were distinctly blue as they lay on the ground with the blue sky above.
Now that they are at home they are more a dark charcoal color - but very treasured by me and I have gone back on some wonderful memories today.
