Kid's Eye View

Almost all the small roadside food shops, mall food courts, and university dining options have a glass case like this to display what?s for lunch or what can be made into lunch. These are very typical ingredients as they are used to make Som Tam (traditional Thai green papaya salad) or many other dishes. The cucumbers are commonly sliced on the side of a plate, great for cooling off a spicy bite.

On this hot day, I opted for some refreshing Som Tam--delicious!
