Thinking about Oklahoma
Our granddaughter Desiree and our little great-grandson Tristan live in Norman, Oklahoma. When we heard the news this evening that the newest tornado touch-down had hit in Oklahoma City, we were concerned. I quickly sent her a text and was glad to immediately get a response from her that they were okay and they had gone to a storm shelter.
We've always lived in southern California, so tornadoes are a form of weather that we are not used to. The devastation that has happened in the middle of our nation these past two days is overwhelming. We have friends in Joplin, Missouri, and have been watching their FaceBook entries.
Desiree and Tristan will be coming here this summer to spend time with us. Tristan will arrive in middle June so that he can accompany us to a week of family camp on Catalina Island. Then he will stay for all of July with us and our daughter's family. Then Desiree gets one week of vacation from her Fedex job and will join us the last week of July. So less than a month and we get to be with Tristan. We can hardly wait.
Good night from Southern California.
