The Woods are Gone

Two days ago a tornado passed over North Minneapolis killing two people and destroying and damaging hundreds of homes and businesses including two houses of friends of mine. The area is still barred to non-residents, although the police have lifted the curfew.

The tornado traveled northeastward, crossing Interstate 94 and the Mississippi River and this wood. The entire wood is gone except for these few trees at the edge - and not much of these left as you can see. Four more photos here.

Such a contrast to most of the state which is blooming and leafing out. Back to beautiful living things tomorrow for me.
