Stacked Calla Lily

This is our first Calla Lily this year. I think they are about the most beautiful flower we have, but they don't last long at all.

This is also my first attempt at "stacking", a technique where you blend the sharpest parts of several photos in order to get the greatest amount in focus. This one is a combination of 9 different photos, each of which focused at a different point on the flower. The result is supposed to be close to that of the human eye.

I failed this time, but I will learn how to do it right soon.
