Dancing Class

Today we visited Wytske and her two children Niamh and TijnTomas. We were Wytske's host family when she visited the United States in 1998. We have kept in touch over the years. Today we got to meet her children who are 9 and 5 years old. We had a wonderful day together.

First Wytske took us to the zoo while the kids were in school. I got to actually touch the tail of a Ringtail Lemur as she crossed our path with her baby on her back. Amazing!

Then we picked up the kids and relaxed awhile before taking Niamh to her dance rehearsal. I took videos and photos to give to Wytske when I get back. Then we dropped Niamh off for a ten K walk with the local kids. She is amazingly fit and athletic. She is the one in black on the right here.

The Wytske fed all of us while Niamh walked and ate as she did. Dinner was amazing: chicken and sausage, veggies, couscous and home made chicken soup.

When Niamh got home the kids got ready for bed and we all hopped in the car to take us back to Ian and Jeríen's house. We were sad to say goodbye but hope to see each other again some day. It was a wonderful day for us.
