13 not out!!

Brilliant day - walked the whole of the Water of Leith Walkway 12.5 miles plus a bit of a detour (total, approx 21 kms) because of fallen trees at Dean Village. Great group, led by Ranger Caroline, was pretty eclectic - tour bus driver; foreign students (Spanish and French); walkers from Edinburgh and, originally, York; G the wonderful, young, Catholic priest (native of Norfolk, via London to Edinburgh); L, from Hong Kong, who was teaching me Chinese; and the 4 young kids from Currie who who made it all the way with their mum - well done to them. My legs were aching a bit at the end, but home to a hot bath, spag bolog and some Kinglake, Domaine Begude, rose.

This is the heron, near Redhall, we aso saw the female otter and the Gormleys. More photos here.

Tomorrow, the Pentlands!
