Putting Your Best Paw Forward

Much as I try to put a bit of variety in my journal I often seem to return to the same old things! Not that Basil's an old thing. He's been a good dog today...unlike Polly who rolled in fox poo this afternoon, grrrrrrrr. She is now shampooed and hosed and drying off in the sunshine.

In other news, I'm keeping everything possible crossed in the hope that my flight to Orkney on Saturday won't be thwarted by the ash cloud...

Right, better go and do my domestic goddess bit in the kitchen - wish me luck. Catching up on my commenting later.
