Up Cork

An American's first gaelic football match! It was... entertaining. Cork (of course) dominated Clare :)

We also witnessed an all out brawl between the teams. Only in Ireland would a player get a card for fighting and then deck the other player in the face... Rules are more like guidelines anyway, right? Needless to say, both Clare and Cork teams all started going at each other. My girlfriends and I were left speechless and a little giddy.

It does make me wonder why the display of masculinity in its most primitive form would cause us women to swoon? No wonder we like shows like 'Spartacus'.
