The great storm...!

Well not quite ... it was really blustery today and would you believe Ayrshire even got a mention on the national news .... goodness, I didn't think the BBC even knew where this area was!!

It's been fortunate that the rains didn't materialise ... just windy and some pretty sunshine.

I stopped off on the way home and took a few shots on the beach at Ballantrae. I've never seen the tide this high and it's covered in foam which has been whipped up by the storm.

I'm feeling ever so fortunate however ... I've been chatting to a friend on Twitter who witnessed the weather take the life of a young lady this evening ... life's a bitch ... I can't begin to imagine how wretched her parents are feeling tonight and will be feeling for many years to come. My sincerest condolences.
