Eden

A wander round the Eden project. Very impressed by the Horticulture and the science behind making it happen, the tropical sphere was great, although having walked through the area with Rubber, Coffee, Sugar and Chocolate plantations it brought home what this trade does elsewhere.

Some of the educational exhibits were, how could I put it, very one sided. Showing how much energy it takes to make a kg of chocolate vs. a kg of flour, isn't helpful when flour is an intermediate, people eat Bread!
Plus suggesting that putting food in cans is a waste of resources, without dealing with the history of why we do this and the fact that 100 years on it is still one of the best forms of preservation (both energy and Nutritionally). I do think it's heart is in the right place, I just wish there was more balance, without this we will poorly educate a whole generation!
