Rusty (Fruit) Cage - Musical May

One of my Christmas presents last year was a fruit cage to put over my strawberries. I built this up the other day. I was a little surprised by the size of it! I wasn't expecting it to be 5ft high!! Anyways, it does the job and the large size of it has also given me the bonus of being able to cover my brassicas!! The only problem is getting under to pick the fruits (did you know that technically a strawberry isn't actually a berry because the seeds are on the outside?!). I've solved this problem by sending Megan under with a bowl!! And before anyone complains and reaches for the phone to call Childline, she loves it (yes, she is acting in the picture!). The only problem is not all the strawberries make it into the bowl using this method!!
