Roberts Park

Lottery funding has recently been used to renovate this park next to the River Aire in Saltaire. It is lovely now and I sincerely hope it stays that way. I visited today with my friend for whom this park has great significance as her son Robert's ashes were scattered here in the river after his death 3 years ago.

It was extremely windy but at least the rain had stopped - an hour earlier whilst having lunch there was an horrendous downpour, which I also blipped, but used this one instead. It is the very creatively decorated bandstand which has featured on Yearofhappy's blip on more than one occasion and most recently on the day before yesterday. Lovely day - awful weather!!!!
