A windy day!

This was the mid-afternoon scene in Newburgh today. The wind was howling in from the south-west and throwing up huge clouds of sand and dust from the sand-dunes and newly cultivated fields. The result was a darkness on the land and lots of gritty bits in the eyes, ears and probably other parts. A prelude to the Icelandic ash promised for tomorrow.
