"It's never straightforward in 'ere." says Sharon when she presents us with only half of our order. Eventually she recruits Zoey to find the rest of our stuff, and a receipt is printed.

"Now, can we leave these throws for cleaning?" we say.
"Throws, throws, no, there's no throws on the list, are they bedspreads?
"They can be, if it helps. And can we give you this £10 voucher back to use?"
"OK, that's £18.99."
I pay with my card.
"It sounds a bit expensive, is that including the £10 voucher?"
"Oh, did you want to use it on this order?"
"That was the idea."
"I'll have to credit it back to your card. Zoey, how d'you credit vouchers back to cards?"
Long-suffering Zoey stops what she's doing for a second time. The £10 is credited and we get another handful of receipts.
"See you later?"
"Hmmm."
