Gecko

Second only to the image of Angkor Wat the gecko seems to symbolise Cambodia. We have 1 large shiny metal one on our balcony that we bought in Siem Reap and lots and lots of the real thing as seen in this photo.Their favourite time to use the balcony is the evening as is ours . We sit out there drinking beer and they saunter about catching mosquitoes and calling Gecko to each other.They must have very sticky feet as they often walk up side down across the ceiling and never fall off.It's unusual to see them in the middle of the day - I guess like most of the rest of Cambodia they're asleep!
