Connections Day 5
After a day off yesterday we're on the home straight of the Connections:
In days of yore, travellers would turn off the Icknield Way and Watling Street to take a short break at the sign of the Wooden Arches. Initially set up as a stopping place to sit and rest and for the consumption of boar burgers, as time became more precious Roland McDanold developed a new concept 'The Walkthrough' for pilgrims and traders who needed to eat on foot.
Alas unlike Ronald McDonald's Golden Arches, Roland McDanold's Wodden Arches never made it in the global marketplace!
Ash trees a renound for dropping large limbs at this time of year when in full leaf.
I walk past this tree every day with the dog and love the way the bark has reformed over the broken limb
Click back through the last 5 entries for the other clues in this Connections Week. The Image and the text will provide a key word each day. The six key words will all have a connection that will be revealed on the 7th day.
