E28 Whittle - Into the Light.
The E28 was the first jet aircraft designed and built in the UK, at the Brockworth Gloster Aircraft Company factory in Gloucester.
Frank Whittle was the designer and the original aircraft, now in the Science Museum in London, was the first-ever British and Allied jet.
Its official first flight was at RAF Cranwell on 15 May 1941, but it had already left the ground during taxiing trials at the Brockworth airfield, Gloucester, on 8 April.
