The Chamber of Bones

The 'Golden Chamber' - colloquially referred to as the 'Chamber of Bones' - can be found in St. Ursula's Church near Cologne's central station. In this chamber about 120 busts of Christian martyrs are on display, and the walls are covered with human bones which were found in a grave underneath the church in the 12th century. According to the legend, they belong to St. Ursula and her 11,000 companions.
