Bee swarm

We spent the afternoon at Langford Lakes, de-stressing after two fraught weeks of hospital visits to my wife's terminally ill mother. It was very soothing to watch great crested grebes and other waterfowl serenely paddling around on the lakes.

My heart rate increased somewhat when I spotted the swarm. Bravely - or foolishly - I stuck my camera in close for this photo.
