Fete Accompli

Went to the Hyde Heath Village Fete today. As village fete's go it was pretty impressive. The burger/hot dog stand was like a military kitchen. Not simply a bloke with a tray of charcoal and cremated bangers any more.

I used to always like the tombola. Will my ticket end in a 5 or a zero, and if so have I won the bottle of wine of the strawberry mousse facepack?

I saw the familiar hexagonal drum and bought 5 tickets. Was then most disappointed to find it wasn't a tombola but a raffle. Boring. However, later that day I got a call to say Id won a prize. A golden ticket to..Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. Hmmm.
