Plotting and scheming.

Hugo and his schoolmates set off on their Duke of Edinburgh shake down expedition.

He had been studiously avoiding me up to this point. They have just been given a piece of news which has caused some poorly disguised excitement.

I have seen this look at other times, and as every parent knows it usually means something is afoot, plans are being hatched and skullduggery is in the offing. I too heard the news and new it would cause a stir. Hence the photo.

This cohort of kids is a very nice one, they are remarkably well balanced, self reliant and mutually supportive, so I don't foresee any serious issues. With good weather they should have a great time.

It's very quiet here now.
