Another perspective.
I find myself looking for different ways to photograph the various subjects that I (and many other blippers) have photographed before.....and it's not always easy!
We had such a dramatic change in the weather today....from 25 yesterday to a high of only 7 today....and quite a bit of rain....i was not in the least bit interested in trying to explore outside! so, i spent some time with the lovely bunch of daffodils sitting on the dinning room table. And as beautiful and yellow as they were...i wasn't getting very excited. Until i started moving the camera around, down below the flowers and concentrated on the light changing on the stems!
It has brightened up now and we've just been for a lovely walk...it was brisk tho....and i've got my eye on spending some time in the next few days, exploring all the ferns in their various stages........they are extremely prolific on our road!
We're expecting out first set of WWOOFER's (Willing workers on organic farms) this evening. A French couple who will stay here for about 2 weeks, and in exchange for room and board they will help us with a variety of chores...like preparing cabins, turning the mess of a garden into something that will bring forth lovely veggies and flowers! Terry has an idea to build an extension onto the studio...he needs a few more pairs of hands!
I have such mixed feelings about the beginning of the wwoof season....it means that for the next 4-5 months there will be new folks in the kitchen and around the house a lot of the time! usually they are all amazing young folks, and i get somewhat attached to some of them.....but i think with this being my second summer here and feeling more settled, it'll be a pretty good experience.
