Düsseldorf Lockdown
I managed to get out into the streets this afternoon but the weather was diabolical.. It was so windy I was concerned about camera shake.. I liked this stencil and imagined a kid with a peashooter made out of the outercasing of his/her biro enjoying target practice with paper pellets...
I was really disheartened when I saw this poster of a missing young lady..It saddened me more when I noticed a passerby had stuck chewing gum on her nose.. I really hope she is able to make her way home safely.. I like to think she is back with her friends and family and this smile has returned.
This Smiley got me thinking about the origins of the design.. Apparently the original was created by an American in 1963, Harvey Ball only ever earned his initial fee of $45 as he never trademarked his work...
Have a safe and sound evening...
