It never rains

In the wild west the rain teemed down leaving the annual Gala Day once again a bit of a quagmire event. It is a rare day when the sun shines on the playing fields for the gala but in true village spirit, the residents turned out in their droves and rainmates, being careful not to trip over the sodden bunting draped forlornly on the ground.

The Kilbarchan pipe band played a few numbers then squelched off quickly before their pipes seized up.
