Small waves can be fun

I went surfing today at my local break. The waves were tiny and affected by the strong westerly winds which created an unpleasant amount of chop, but it was the best of what was on offer up and down the coast. Luckily I packed a longboard in my quiver and it turned out to be ideal for the conditions.

The person in this photograph is riding a "mini mal" (or Mini Malibu) surfboard; it's shorter version of a longboard.
