My Co-Presenter

This is David Spector, with whom I'm giving a program in three weeks, entitled Words and Birds. (In a couple of weeks this will give a link to a summary of our show.)

He's a professor of Biology whose specialty is ornithology, and who has a passionate interest in the etymology of bird names and the avian origins of English words--that is the subject of our presentation, accompanied by my bird photographs.

He is a delightful fellow and also an avid follower of my blip journal--which he comments on with great erudition and perspicacity--by email. His tee shirt is from the Hitchcock Center for the Environment in Amherst MA, which he has supported in various roles for many years. We're standing on the ground floor of our new house, seen here just after we moved in--we're making slow progress emptying boxes.
