Our Garden Swing

This swing came in 2006, just after Mrs jml retired. Her work-colleagues presented her with a cheque which we used to buy it.

Today I tried to tempt Jess & Molly to sit on the swing. They were happy to pose in front of it, but it is an unstable platform (it swings!) so they most certainly did not want to get on. When I scattered a few treats on it - including one of Molly's favourite bones - then Molly was tempted. She eventually got as far as putting her paws up to help her get at the treats. Jess, as ususl, was more disdainful.

The small photo in the centre (see it in large) was taken just after we acquired the swing. On that occasion, Jess did come up onto it, but the difference is that Mrs jml was on it befire her. Look how shiny it was when it was new - we have neglected this piece of furniture for a couple of years. Time to give it a new coat of varnish, I think.
