STRIPED

My E550 has got the dreaded white stripe disease it won't register colors in the camera and gives interesting ORCHID colors. Now I have to talk Fuji into replacing it; it really is a wonderful camera albeit with some defects.

I was changing a filter on my new Olympus E510 and saw a long HAIR inside the lens top dead center. Since i already had concerns about the image sharpness in that camera i called Olympus and the "technician" asked "Is it affecting the IMAGE Quality? I almost strangled him electronically and simply told him the poor image quality means i hesitate to recommend the camera despite its superior ergonomics. He agreed to evaluate some photos. Part of the problem is too much noise reduction that i thought i had turned off but hadn't. I may have to go back to my 2 MP Kodak if i can find the USB cord
