Defending our Territory
These boots, plastic pouches, and machetes are crucial tools for successful missions in the bush. Today I went with a group of 15 men to make clear the boundaries of the Las Tunas community.
It was a morning of mud, sweat, and sweet oranges: we hiked up and down densely wooded jungle hills and valleys, left a ribbon of slain plant souls in the wake of our machetes, and filled our plastic pouches bursting with oranges and mandarins from trees along the trail.
