Birthday cake

It's my birthday today (can you guess how old I am?). It was also my last day at work for two whole weeks!

Woke up to lots of pressies and cards. Took edible goodies in to work and generally had a manic day as per usual.

Col picked me up and we went for a cheeky pint and I was told when we came home I was to stay out of the kitchen. He'd baked me a birthday cake! How wonderful! No-one has ever baked me a birthday cake before.

So dinner is mince and tatties followed by birthday cake. Birthdays don't get much better than this (ok, maybe if I didn't have to work)!

(Col us working tomorrow so we're postponing the main celebrations until tomorrow which will involve cocktails and dinner in Glasgow)
