Brougham Castle

Mountain Travels has gone to France for some freelance work. I volunteered to take him to the train station, unfortunately his train left at 5.57am which meant a very early start. Rather than just drive straight home I took a detour to drive past Brougham Castle, which I've driven past hundreds of times, but never stopped to take a photo and I've never been to visit. It doesn't open until 10am so visiting wasn't on my list of things to do today.

I think this view would be great when the sun sets, there was some beautiful light this morning on the drive to Penrith, didn't have time to stop though which was a shame.

Maybe I can get a sunset at Brougham Castle when Mountain Travels returns (all I know is its on Monday at some point).
