Not really, its the great fire of newcastle. this was a fire at a scrapyard in byker (yes, grove!) with the smoke billowing over the city centre. this made sky news, and the best reader comment "i hope pj and duncan are ok"!!!

and a great bit of entrepreneurial thinking by the ice cream man that rocked up at the scene to feed the rubberneckers frozen treats!!!
