Busy Bee

After Dad has taken several really nice bug shots over the past couple of weeks, I thought it was high time I had a go at macro photography today... well I did have a go last week, but it was so windy that all insects were flying around on leaves and flowers far too fast to capture. However, today the conditions were perfect - nice sunny day with relatively no wind and the bees in our garden moved rather slowly and relaxed around the plants - perfect for me to get the camera out and snap a few shots whilst I had my lunch outdoors!

ps - i really could get that close with the zoom/macro lens and the only cropping to this picture is to the width to make it square in shape rather than 3:2.
